ABOUT
The Alaska Just Transition Collective is an intersectional cohort of regional organizations who collaborate through an aligned vision for a just and equitable transition away from an extractive economy into a resilient one based in care. We recognize Indigenous knowledge as essential to our work. By honoring the original stewards of these lands, Alaska Native peoples, we uplift a knowledge system that has a deep relationship to the lands and waters.
We use the phrase "Remembering Forward" as our roadmap. The solutions we seek for our communities as we transition toward healthy, regenerative economies already exist within the foundation of Indigenous cultures. We are shown the path forward by illuminating the path behind us. The Just Transition Summit is our biennial gathering to share knowledge, skills, inspiration, and to connect about the equity and justice work we are building in our communities.
Join us as we build pathways to liberation.
